Compressive Sampling for Remote Control Systems

چکیده
In remote control, efficient compression or representation of control signals is essential to send them through rate-limited channels. For this purpose, we propose an approach of sparse control signal representation using the compressive sampling technique. The problem of obtaining sparse representation is formulated by cardinality-constrained 2 optimization of the control performance, which is reducible to 12 optimization. The low rate random sampling employed in the proposed method based on the compressive sampling, in addition to the fact that the 12 optimization can be effectively solved by a fast iteration method, enables us to generate the sparse control signal with reduced computational complexity, which is preferable in remote control systems where computation delays seriously degrade the performance. We give a theoretical result for control performance analysis based on the notion of restricted isometry property (RIP). An example is shown to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach via numerical experiments.

2D Normalized Iterative Hard Thresholding Algorithm for Fast Compressive Radar Imaging
Compressive radar imaging has attracted considerable attention because it substantially reduces imaging time through directly compressive sampling. However, a problem that must be addressed for compressive radar imaging systems is the high computational complexity of reconstruction of sparse signals. In this paper, a novel algorithm, called two-dimensional (2D) normalized iterative hard thresho...
متن کاملLoad Minimization Design for Dual-rate Internet-based Control Systems
This paper presents a design method for Internet-based control systems in a dual-rate configuration to achieve load minimization and dynamic performance specifications. It avoids the complexity of large scale system design by focusing on individual control systems. In the dual-rate configuration, the plant under control is first stabilized by a local controller with a high sampling rate. The re...

Wireless sensor networks promise a fundamentally new approach for gathering information about the physical world via a distributed network of sensors that can communicate with each other and/or with a (usually distant) fusion center through radio-frequency wireless links. Limited energy resources make power conservation essential in these envisioned sensing systems. Thus, it becomes crucial to ...
متن کاملComplementary compressive imaging for the telescopic system
Conventional single-pixel cameras recover images only from the data recorded in one arm of the digital micromirror device, with the light reflected to the other direction not to be collected. Actually, the sampling in these two reflection orientations is correlated with each other, in view of which we propose a sampling concept of complementary compressive imaging, for the first time to our kno...
متن کاملHigh-resolution compressive channel estimation for broadband wireless communication systems
Broadband channel is often characterized by a sparse multipath channel where dominant multipath taps are widely separated in time, thereby resulting in a large delay spread. Accurate channel estimation can be done by sampling received signal with analog-to-digital converter (ADC) at Nyquist rate and then estimating all channel taps with high resolution. However, these Nyquist sampling-based met...
